How Does It Work?

The CurrentBody RF Radio Frequency Device is a really clever piece of kit. It uses radio frequency technology and Skin Sense Technology to deliver anti-ageing benefits to the skin. The combination of these two technologies is key to the efficacy of this device.

The RF device uses bipolar radio frequency waves that pass through the skin from one pole to another. The waves penetrate the deeper layers of skin where collagen is formed. Heat within the skin occurs as the skin resists the waves and this heat causes circulation to increase, and most importantly, the immediate production of collagen.

My Review of the CurrentBody RF Radio Frequency Device

I have absolutely been loving this gadget. It’s so satisfying because you can see immediate benefits in the skin, and it’s also really relaxing to use at the same time.

It’s really easy to carry out the treatment. You just need to apply a layer of the conductive gel to the area you want to treat, and then turn on the device and choose your setting.

I go for the highest setting because I am an all or nothing person, plus I find the intensity level comfortable on every setting. Because you keep the device moving all the time, the skin never gets too hot, so the heat sensation is extremely pleasant and actually feels like quite a treat.

As the treatment is carried out, mild redness appears in the skin which is a result of the skin heating itself as it resists the RF waves. This is what we want to see. It shows that the fibroblast cells (the ones that do all the work when it comes to producing collagen and elastin) are being activated and getting to work on making more collagen.

Before and After

The benefits from this device are both instant and long term. You get instant plumping which immediately improves the texture and tone of the skin, and with continued use these results are enhanced.

The above photo shows the instant results with a five minute treatment on the treatment on the smile lines on one side of my face. I love how it plumps the area and smooths out that line. This makes it the perfect treatment before a special occasion.

I’ve noticed really nice instant improvement on the neck and jawline area, and also around the eyes. Continued use will see the benefits increase, so I am completely invested in my weekly treatments.

I sometimes do the whole face in one go if I have more time. However, if time is short, I pick couple of areas to focus on, and then do the other areas on a different day. This makes it really easy to squeeze into any day.

I find that with each treatment my skin looks and feels firmer and that I get a really good radiance boost too. It’s the perfect treatment to do before a night out because it just gets my skin looking plump and glowing.

I just do it on clean skin, before applying my skincare and makeup, and it just makes my skin look super healthy.
