Here’s what you need to know about the new Garnier Gentle Hydrating Deep Cleanser. Cleansing is one of my favourite steps in my skincare routine, and I have been trying lots of new cleansers recently including this super affordable one from Garnier.
What is Garnier Gentle Hydrating Deep Cleanser?
- Gentle hydrating cleanser
- Designed to deep cleanse the skin
- Removes make up and deeply eliminates impurities
- Proven to minimise the look of enlarged pores and irregular skin texture
- Helps to protect skin barrier
- Suitable for all skin types including sensitive
- The formula is fragrance free & sulphate free.
- The bottle uses recycled plastic
Clay – to draw out impurities and deep clean the pores
Ceramides – to strengthen the skin barrier and protect against water loss
Hyaluronic Acid – to hydrate and lock in moisture
How to use it
You can use this cleanser twice a day. It is recommended to apply to wet skin and gently massage in to cleanse the skin, although I find it also works well applied to dry skin and to then add a splash of water.
You simply rinse away with water and pat the skin dry.
My Review of Garnier Gentle Hydrating Deep Cleanser
I was really keen to try this new launch from Garnier because I am a big fan of the brand’s Micellar Water cleansing range. They are super effective and excellent value for money.
This is a really nice, gentle to cleanser that I find is perfectly suited to the removal of light makeup, as a morning cleanse or a second cleanse. It does actually remove makeup really well, but I just love an oil or a balm cleanser to get off the bulk of my makeup.
I really enjoy the light texture of the Garnier Gentle Hydrating Deep Cleanser. It is very similar to The Ordinary Glycolipid Cream Cleanser which happens to be a pretty good dupe for the much pricier Augustinus Bader The Cream Cleansing Gel.
All three of these have light, hydrating textures that deep cleanse the skin without stripping. In terms of the affordable ones, I’d say I prefer this Garnier one to The Ordinary one. It think it leaves the skin feeling more hydrated, and it has a much more pleasant smell.
For me, this is the idea gentle cleanser to have in the shower. Big thumbs up!
