This is a a new brand to me, and one that was created in 2017 by a founder with sensitive skin that couldn’t find gentle enough products. The Harborist Hyper-Gentle Balm-Gel Cleanser is formulated to be as non-irritating as pure water. Here’s what you need to know.

My Review
I love balmy oil cleansers and the texture of the Harborist Hyper-Gentle Balm-Gel Cleanser instantly ticks the box for me. It has a gorgeously luxurious consistency that melts over the skin and feels soothing and calming.
The balm itself is not too thick and not too thin, so it’s really easy to control. The instructions say to use it on dry skin with damp fingers, so I simply wash my hands first and shake off most of the water before pumping the cleanser into my hands. The dampness from the fingers helps to activate the ingredients.
After massaging it over my face for a minute or two, I add a splash of water for a more milky cleanse, and then use a wash cloth to remove it. This is a great first cleanse for when I have been wearing makeup and SPF and it most certainly lives up to its non-irritating claims.
It has 20% Glycerin, which is absolutely one of my favourite skincare ingredients. It is the most fantastic humectant and really helps to impart the skin with lasting hydration.
