I am always very wary of face tanning products because I often find them very drying, and the finish sometimes really emphasises my hyperpigmentation, which is the last thing I want. I have been testing out the Three Warriors Face Tan Aqua Mist. Here are my thoughts.
What is Three Warriors Face Tan Aqua Mist?

- Ultra-fine face tan water
- Formulated to give the face, neck and décolletage a natural-looking tan
- Suitable for all skin types
- Can be applied 2-3 times a week to maintain an all-year-round glow
- Develops in as little as 3 hours.
- Natural and organic ingredients provide high levels of antioxidants that help protect the skin from the damaging effects of UV rays
Key Ingredients
Rose Oil – antioxidant properties support skin healing and protect against free radicals
Aloe Vera – locks in moisture and soothes skin for a calm, softened complexion
Tasmanian Olive Oil – prevents signs of photo-aging and sun damage
How to use it

This mist is super easy to use. You can do a light scrub before, however, unless you have any particular dryness, or patchiness, I find that this isn’t entirely necessary.
I just cleanse my face, wait until it’s dry, and then mist over a light layer of the tan, covering my neck and chest a little too. Once it is dry, I continue with my skincare.
If I want a lighter colour, I apply it last after skincare. I tend to do it at night, but you can also do it in the morning, let it dry down and then apply makeup over it.
My Review

I have really been enjoying this mist. As I said at the top, I don’t use face tanners that much because I find that a lot of them really emphasise my hyperpigmentation, and that is the last thing I want.
I tan my body all year round. My long term favourite for body that I tend to always go back to is Fake Bake Flawless Darker Self-Tan Liquid* – it is old school, but I just get on with it so well. For face, however, I often just use bronzer to match up my face. You won’t be surprised to learn that the REESON Bronzing Balm is my absolute favourite bronzer (it’s the one I made myself!!).
I like the Three Warriors Face Tan Aqua Mist because it feels super hydrating on the skin, smells nice, and just gives a lovely soft glow, without any patchiness. There is minimal cling to any hyperpigmentation and it just gives my skin a bit of life.
This isn’t the most flattering of photos – it is actually a freeze frame from a makeup video I made (before I had applied any makeup) and I think it shows the nice natural glow this products gives.

I spritz a little down my neck and over my chest too, and it just warms everything up really nicely in a very natural looking way.
I find some tans can really dry out my skin, but this one doesn’t and it feels more like a skincare mist than a tanning one.
